Daniel R. Lucker, age 52, of St. Paul died unexpectedly on Tuesday, Jan 16, 2024. Preceded in death by his parents Gerlad and Mary Lucker, siblings Beth Larsen and Joe Lucker. Survived by siblings Karen Lucker Rom (Frank Rom), Sue Frei (Robert Frei), Tom Lucker, and sister-in-law Debbie Lucker. Survived by 8 nieces and nephews and 4 great nieces and nephews.

Dan was a graduate of White Bear Lake High School. He loved sports, especially Minnesota teams. He had a wonderful career beginning with Promotion Alliance and Marketing Incentive Resources. Dan was a big advocate for rescuing retired greyhounds. He was an incredible friend, co-worker, and family member to many. He will be dearly missed.

Brenda Voracek Age 52, Passed away on June 4, 2023, from complications of Diabetes. She died just 15 days after her grandmother Rita Haston. Survived by mother Linda Voracek & son Nickolas Sabby; many other loving family members and friends. Private family service.

Catherine Wappel (Schmid) 52 of the Southwest side of Chicago, IL formerly of White Bear Lake MN after a brief illness entered into eternal life May 13th 2023. Beloved wife of Jim for 21 years. Loving daughter of Rita (the late Larry). Dear sister of Caryn Schmid and Michael (Kelly) Schmid. Fond friend to many. Longtime artist, influencer, gaming enthusiast and accomplished butcher. She loved dancing for hours, was a world traveler and a Renaissance Faire circuit member for many years. She was loved by all who met her. She was pure sunshine. An upcoming celebration of life will be planned for late summer, known as CathyCon, and a family memorial event is planned in Minnesota in June.
 

Corinne Takemoto (Frieler), Loving Wife & Daughter Age 52, passed away 3/2/2023 Survived by husband, Eric; stepson, Dominic Brant; father, Orval; and siblings, David (Theresa), Gary (Sue) & Philip. Preceded in death by mother, Lola; and sister, Sandi Hochette.

Jeff LaCasse, Age 51 of White Bear Lake. Passed away on April 9, 2022. Preceded in death by mother Mildred “Millie”; nephew Joshua Humphreys; niece Krista Humphreys; grandparents Art & Ellen LaCasse and Bill & Barbara Smisek and uncles Jimmy & Bobby Smisek. Survived by father Tom; siblings Anita Humphreys (Dave), Tim (Chris), Debbie Crouch (Bill) & Lisa Goeltl (Doug); many nieces, nephews and cousins. Jeff graduated from White Bear Lake High School in 1989. He worked construction with his father. Jeff was a devoted uncle and loved spending time with all his nieces and nephews and going to their sporting events. Jeff loved the game of broomball and played for many years. He was the first US broomball player to win three World Broomball Championships. He was inducted into the Broomball Hall of Fame in 2017. Jeff was a very humble and caring person. He was a strong person of faith. He will be dearly missed.

Michael Woodward, Michael passed away in his sleep unexpectedly on July 25th, 2021. Born on June 5th, 1970 to Howard "Woody" Woodward and Carol Woodward. Mike grew up with his two siblings David and Thomas, in Vadnais Heights, MN. Mike graduated from White Bear Lake High School and also from St. Paul Technical College with a diploma in auto body repair. He had a natural mechanical aptitude from an early age which kept him busy tinkering with anything and everything with an engine. His ability to fix seemingly anything helped keep him employed and gained him many friends over the years. Mike had a very kind and generous heart as well and was the type of person that would take time out of his day to help other people or literally give them the shirt off his back. His humor and distinctive laughter will be missed by us all. Mike is survived by his Mother (Carol), his two brothers David (Barb) and Thomas, a nephew and two nieces.

Ed Schoeller, Ed took his last breath at the age of 50 on Easter Sunday 4/4/2021 at St. Joseph's Hospital, from complications due to COVID, the same hospital where he took his first breath in 1970.

Preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Jean; and sister, Rose. He is survived by his beloved nephew, Joe and “niece” Sara and their 3 children, Jacob, Makenzie and Gracelyn; siblings, John and his children, Joe and Amber, Ralph, Paul (Ashley), Ann Marie, Delores, Lois (Roy) Mahlberg and their children, Devin and Aidan; many other relatives and friends too numerous to count.

Ed was a longtime school bus driver and employee of Rehbein Transit. He was fun loving, sarcastic and above all the kindest human being. He will be dearly missed.

Scott Zurn, "Coach Zurn" Of Stillwater, Minnesota, Age 49. Beloved dad, brother and uncle was taken too soon from us after a courageous battle with cancer. Scott is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Arlene Zurn. He is survived by Lynn; his children Aidan, Chloe, Gavin and Grayson; his siblings Cheryl, Darryl, Nancy, Mary, Rob, Lynda and Julie and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Derek S. Baker, age 46, of Lake Elmo, MN passed away on Monday, January 29, 2018 in St. Croix County, WI. He was born October 25, 1971 in Morristown, NJ.

Derek loves his family–his wife Nancy, children Derek, Allyssa and Spencer, grand-daughter Raelyn, parents Sharon and Dick Deiber, father-in-law Jerry Mathison, mother-in-law Lori Hansen, sister Janelle (Chuck) Siebsen, sister-in-law Joey (Dan) Glisczinski, sister-in-law Sheri (Scott) Bauer, nieces (Amber, Celine, Corinna, Macy, Noelle, and Sierra), nephews (Brent, Nate, Skylar and Sterling), uncle Ron (Linda) Roy, aunt Barbara (Tom) Weberling, uncle Larry (Linda) Deiber, and cousins.

Heather Lynn O’Brien (Teegarden), 45, of White Bear Lake passed away unexpectedly on October 28, 2016.

She was born in St. Paul, Minnesota, on July 16, 1971 to parents Keith and Doris Teegarden. She married Michael O’Brien on June 22, 1996.

Heather is survived by parents Keith and Doris Teegarden of White Bear Lake; husband Mike O’Brien of White Bear Lake; sons, Zach and Alex, and daughter, Rachel; sister, Jennifer Teegarden of Richfield, and brother, Ryan Teegarden, of Woodbury; and aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephew.

Heather graduated from White Bear Lake High School in 1989. She graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor’s of Science in Chemical Engineering in 1994. Heather and Mike met in college and forged a life together.

She dedicated herself to her family, the rights of special needs children, and rescued dogs. Heather was a caring daughter, sister, wife, mother, and friend. She was a great listener and helper, and could easily hold a conversation with someone she just met. Heather’s smile lit up a room. The world is now dimmer without her.

Jennifer Specht, Age 44 of Shoreview, went to be with the Lord on July 30, 2015.

She was the cherished daughter of Fred and Janet Specht; much loved Sister of Mike (Stephanie), Andy, and Jeff (Laura) Specht. Jennifer was an adoring aunt to Nephews and Nieces Cody, Seth, Wyatt, Noah, and Gracie. She was a special friend to Vicky, Susan, and Carla. Jennifer is also survived by aunt, Susan Zapata; uncle, Joe Garner; and many special cousins. 

She is preceded in death by grandparents Joe and Ruth Garner; Frank and Marcella Specht. 

Jennifer will be greatly missed by her Friends, Colleagues, and Family. 

She was a 17 year teacher in the Mounds View School District.

Katie Elizabeth Lammers, 12/13/1970-5/13/2012. Died Sunday, May 13, 2012, in Webster, WI suddenly due to a medical issue. Preceded in death by grandparents. Spouse of Mike Kane, North Branch, beloved daughter of Larry and Mary Fran Lammers, sister of Chrissy Lammers and Tony Lammers of White Bear Lake, "four legged child" Annie and other relatives and friends.

Lori Lynn Collins, Nee Koerner 3/27/1970-5/22/2010 Of Stillwater Loving Wife, Mom, Daughter, Daughter-in-law, Sister, Sister-in-law, Granddaughter, Aunt Preceded in death by sister Leah; grandfather Frank Parker. Survived by husband Ted; son Brady; parents Luke (Linda) Koerner; brother Luke; father and mother-in-law Mike (Mary Ann) Collins; brother and sister-in-law Pat (Heather) Collins; niece and nephew Peyton and John Collins; grandmothers Bernice Parker and Patricia Chatterton; many aunts, uncles and cousins; and her beloved pet Cappy Jo.

Jason Draxler, January 24, 1971 - September 17, 2009, Jason was born in New Ulm to William & Karen (Knops) Draxler. He grew up in White Bear Lake and has lived in the St. Cloud/Clear Lake area for many years. He is a member of St. Marcus Catholic Church in Clear Lake. Jason loved his dog Sadie and enjoyed fishing, hunting, golf, home repair projects, yard work and being outdoors.

He is survived by his wife Sara and daughter Taylor of Clear Lake; mother and step father, Karen & Stanley Smith of Mahtomedi; brother, John and his wife Yvonne Draxler of Sterling, CO; mother and father in law, Roger & Kathy Roske of Grey Eagle; brother and sisters in law, Brian (Nancy) Roske of Grey Eagle; Christy (Steve) Schehr of Cranberry Township, PA; Amy (Greg) Seuk of St. Joseph.

He is preceded in death by his father and grandparents.

Donna M. Roettger (Grewe), 12/20/70-2/21/09, Donna passed away following a short and courageous battle with cancer. Preceded in death by brother, Terry. Survived by husband, Anthony; children, Jordan Hengtgen and Zack Hengtgen; parents, Terrence and Diane Grewe; other family and many friends.

Donald Charles Kunz "Charlie" Jr.,  December 10, 1970 to November 19, 2008, Beloved son, dad, brother, uncle & grandson passed away unexpectedly on November 19, 2008.  Charlie spent his last 8 years in Phoenix, AZ.  Preceded in death by grandfathers, George Frendt & Robert Kunz; stepmother, Wendy Kunz and uncle, James Frendt. Charlie is survived by mother, Nancy Frendt; father, Don Kunz Sr. (Janice Smoot); daughter, Hayley; sister, Rachel Whitaker (Todd); niece, Payson Whitaker; stepdad, Steve Wessel; grandparents, Clara Frendt, Milicent Scheid & Val and Lila Wessel; many aunts, uncles, cousins & friends. Chuck had the biggest of hearts and will be deeply missed by all that crossed his journey in life. Charlie, Chuck, Chaz, Chucker we will love you always and will remember your loving heart and soul.
